Magnetic Parking Garage

My kid lines up the cars and actually puts them back now, which never happened before. The beech wood is solid and heavy enough that it doesn't slide around on the hardwood when he's grabbing cars off it.

The 17 magnetic spots are what sold me — my son lines up all his little cars and they actually stay put when he knocks the thing. I was worried the magnets would be weak, but they hold tight and the whole thing has survived a few tumbles off the shelf. It's earned a permanent spot on his dresser.

The solid beech wood feels really sturdy, and I love that all 17 cars we already had finally have a home instead of scattered on the floor. Setting it up took no time, and the magnetic spots keep everything tidy even when my kid yanks a car out mid-play.
