The magnets in this thing are no joke, I stuck it to the side of my desk and it hasn't budged in two weeks. The walnut grain looks even better in person than in the photos.

The walnut base is heavier and denser than I expected, so it doesn't slide around when the car's sitting at that steep angle. Those embedded magnets are no joke either, the thing hasn't budged once.

The magnets really do hold the car at that ridiculous angle without a single wobble, and the walnut block has a nice weight to it that keeps everything grounded. It's honestly overkill for most shelves, but if you've got a prized model, this feels like the right kind of paranoia.
